Je Suis Paris, But What About Lahore?

On March 28, 2016, Pakistan got hit with a Taliban attack once again. Hundreds of people were gathered at a park on Sunday enjoying Easter. Pakistan consists of 2 percent of Christians who were celebrating their religion’s holiday when suddenly a bomb came down on kids, women, and men, killing 64 people and injuring hundreds. “It was so crowded that there was even no way of entering it. We went to a canteen to have something to eat, when there was suddenly a big blast. Everyone panicked, running to all directions. Many of them were blocked at the gate of the park. Dead bodies can be found everywhere,” A witness, Danish told CNN.

People, although this issue being all over the news, did not know of this bombing. The reason for this mistake is that celebrities did not talk about it. Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber or no other major celebrity did not tweet or post anything about the sad unfortunate bombing.

What would happen if New York or Boston got bombed? Everyone from celebrities to politicians to civilians will talk, tweet and post about praying for the city and their survivors. Was there anything about Lahore, or the survivors, the families that lost their members? Next time if a city gets bombed, try being nice and send a tweet.
