The movie takes place in the early 80’s with Burgundy and his wife as anchors on a news station along with the rest of the team. The conflict in the movie is quickly established and the movie rolls on from there with humorous antics and plot twists.
This sequel is said to not live up to its prequels hilarity. With the bar set high and the previews building it up, some feel as though the movie was a letdown. At the same time there are people who felt as though the movie was exactly what they were waiting all these years for and felt fulfilled.
All in all, this sequel which was co-written by Will Ferrell himself does have its moments of laugh out loud comedy which still left theaters in stitches.
