On Thurs, Oct. 23, three Neshaminy AP Environmental Science students were invited to the Langhorne Rotary Club meeting to present on current environmental issues and possible solutions. The meeting, at Bella Tori, started with lunch and continued through the presentation about carbon concerns and the PowerPoint of solutions.
Thee three students: Lauren Ody, Emily Ciaramella, and Nic Hoffman, assisted by Mr. Maloney, performed a dual presentation. Lauren handed the club a quiz to assess their carbon footprint, then Emily and Nic showed the club a PowerPoint about the impact of humans on the Earth and how technology and its use can combat it. The PowerPoint focused on green energy and how it can be both environmentally and economically efficient.
The rotary members then asked questions and acted enthusiastic about the possibilities of helping the environment. As a benevolent organization, the entire meeting was a resounding success for raising awareness in the rotary as well as an interesting experience for the students.
