Editor receives Edinboro University journalism award
LANGHORNE, Pa. (April 9, 2014) – Junior Sports Editor Reed Hennessey has been awarded second place for Sports in the Northwestern Pennsylvania High School Journalism Day Competition.
His work was recognized at the Eighth Annual Northwestern Pennsylvania High School Journalism Day held on Friday, April 4, 2014. Hennessey’s article “Neshaminy over Harry S. Truman,” earned him the second place honors http://www.easternpafootball.com/news/neshaminy-over-harry-s-truman/
The top five entries in each category were recognized during High School Journalism Day with the top three awards receiving cash prizes. Hennessy received a $50 prize for his efforts.
In the fall of 2013, Hennessy was recommended by Athletic Director Tom Magdelinskas to intern at easternpafootball.com . During this is a four month internship, Hennessy covered Neshaminy each week and report on their games, coaches and players.
