The Playwickian receives Columbia Scholastic Press Association Silver Medal Award

LANGHORNE, Pa. (October 31, 2013) – Congratulations to the 2012-2013 Playwickian editors and staff writers for receiving the Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s Silver Medal Certificate of Excellence for High School Journalism.
The CSPA judges stated, “To the staff and adviser: keep up the solid reporting. Your hard news and overall overage are excellent. Every issue features substantive reporting and top notch editorials.”

The students’ received an additional praise from the judges regarding their creative writing pieces, “Love that you include the literary magazine material.”

This is the first year The Playwickian website www.playwickian.com was included in the hybrid critique. The CSPA has evaluated The Playwickian for the past 37 years and has received a Gold Medal for an outstanding 25 years and Silver for five years.
