Home Games 4 Hunger is an organization which collects non-perishable foods for local food banks. Last Sept Neshaminy’s own Koch family began Home Games 4 Hunger at all the home football games. Since then Home Games 4 Hunger has spread to home soccer games and basketball games at Neshaminy.
The organization was founded by local Neshaminy residents Susan and John Koch. Last year Neshaminy collected over 2400 pounds of food for the Penndel food bank.
“I think it’s a really good cause, and it’s amazing how much our school can do when we really work together,” sophomore Jillian Albright said.
“A special thanks should also go out to Rob McGee and Tom Magdalinskas for their weekly school announcements promoting donations,” founder Susan Koch. The Neshaminy community really jumped right into the program going above and beyond what was expected. This year, we would like to see if we can top it!
Neshaminy students John Koch, senior, and Natile Koch, sophomore, are both avid Neshaminy sports players and help promote the program. The Koch family and Neshaminy encourages any student attending a Neshaminy home game to bring a canned food item to donate.
