Carrezola: Junior with a bright future ahead of him

Neshaminy tight end Luke Carrezola has bright future ahead of him. Still only in his junior year at Neshaminy, the six foot four 247 pound tight end has already been looked at by many division one schools who are interested in him for football.
Temple, Boston College, Rutgers, Villanova, Yale, Michigan State, Missouri, Connecticut, and North Western are only some of the major schools who are looking at Carrezola. “It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I’ve been a kid,” Carrezola said.
Even though he’s being recruited as more of a tight end, Carrezola also plays defensive end for Neshaminy.
With Neshaminy’s offense being primarily a running offense, Carrezola was limited to just five catches for 76 yards this past season. Defensively, he compiled five sacks and 47 total tackles and 10.5 for loss.
A big reason that so many scouts have become interested in Carrezola as a tight end is his tremendous size and athleticism. At the beginning of the year he weighed about 226 pounds, but has since then has packed on 20 lbs. of muscle. This, combined with his height gives him the ideal size to play tight end at the next level.
“He’s no maintenance, his academics, work ethic and weight room is all very solid. He’s a very good football player who’s never satisfied and always wants to get better. deserves whatever he gets. He deserves the best environment and education,,” said Neshaminy head coach Mark Schmidt.
With his senior year ahead of him, Carrezola will continue to work hard and try to impress scouts with his actions on and off the field. “I’m ready to play for a big time school,” Carrezola said. With a good senior year and no serious injuries, which he has yet to suffer, it’s very possible Carrezola could all go from playing on Friday nights to Saturday afternoons after next year.
