Science teacher James Maloney is hopeful that he can add Neshaminy to the list of schools that have succesfully completed a lip dub video. A lip dub video is a pre-planned video in which a camera travels throughout the school in one-take, capturing students singing to chosen songs and featuring the various clubs and groups in the school. Many other schools have done these videos, but Neshaminy will be the first local school to do one.
Although the video will feature athletes and clubs, it is certainly not limited to those individuals. Maloney hopes that the video will have lots of participants, and perhaps become a Neshaminy tradition. The event is selling t-shirts for a good cause as well. The Lip Dub T-Shirts are being sold for $10 a piece, with proceeds going to the charities Hope for Howie, The Matt Cruz Foundation, The Children’s Hospital Of Phialdelphia, and To Write Love On Her Arms.
Registration for the event has been temporarily extended. The practice for the event will be after school on May 22, with the actual event being held on the 23 and the rain date being the day after.
