The Neshaminy boy’s varsity Lacrosse team has had an up and down season in their first season without former head coach Josh Hanlon. The ‘Skins have an overall record of seven wins and 10 losses, and a conference record of three wins and six losses under first year coach Len Quici.

Neshaminy started off the first half of their season on the wrong foot. After losing the first two games against West Chester Henderson by a score of 8 to 12 and at Pennridge 7 to 10 the skins won their first game at home eight to five against Pope John Paul II. Neshaminy only won one other game 17 to 1 against Conwell Egan rest of the first half of the year. “We just need to come together as a team,” senior Mike Pfender said.

The second half of the year was much better for the ‘Skins. After going two and seven in the first nine games the ‘Skins rallied and won five out of there next eight games. Neshaminy started this stretch with a three game winning streak beating Holy Ghost Prep six to five, Truman 14 to 2, and rival Pennsbury 8 to six. The ‘Skins only have one game left remaining on their schedule. The skins will wrap up their 2013 season May 10 at home against the rival Pennsbury.

With their season coming to an end the Neshaminy varsity boy’s lacrosse team had a good run in Leonard Quici’s first year as head coach. With being able to finish the second half of the year strong it will be interesting to see what kind of success Quici will have in the future.
