The band Eagles was founded 45 years ago by guitarist Glenn Frey, Vocalist Don Henley, Guitarist Bernie Leadon and drummer Randy Mesiner. Being one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time, the Eagles have produced some of the greatest songs of all time, including “Hotel California” and “Best of My Love.” The band has associated themselves with many great artists of the time including Jackson Browne, who helped write the majority of “Take it easy.”
The band members had the great chemistry during live shows and recording sessions. A great performance like “Hotel California” shows how Bernie Leadon and Glenn Frey created magic during the bridge of the song. Its long guitar coda has been voted the best guitar solo of all time and remains as one of the Eagles best performances ever.
Though the time of Rock n’ Roll has been over for a very long time, the passing of Glenn Frey was one of the hardest news to bear. At the age of 69, Glenn Frey had been hospitalized for medical problems where he was forced to undergo surgery. Frey had passed on 18 January of 2016, making him the second member of the band to pass away, including Don Henley.
Frey left behind a legacy during his life, writing one of the greatest guitar riffs ever made and being a key founder of the band. His name will live on forever in the hearts of his fans and family.
