On Oct. 7, 2015, about 1,900 restaurants have failed their health inspections and are now being closed down for business. All the restaurants that have been closing down are mainly those restaurants that are referred to as famous and popular such as McDonalds and Burger King; and the sad part would be that many Americans have eaten in those kind of places that have failed health inspections.
The real question is: how do restaurants get a failing score? Why would be closed down in the first place? A failing score is any grade below 70 out of 100 points. Restaurants are graded against a set of standards, and violations can be anywhere between a 5-point hit — for things such as improper food temperatures, broken refrigeration, and others — down to 3-point violations for failures to meet facilities standards. Any 5- and 4-point violations must be corrected immediately. Three-point violations must be corrected within 10 days. So, now you know; those 1,900 restaurants that have failed health inspections are definitely one of the most terrible restaurants to be eating at right now- at this instant. Here are some restaurants down in Chicago that has probably made people have some serious sicknesses and diseases, just by eating bad food in a poorly sanitary building:
John Barleycorn – Observed ten live roaches inside a wood box under three compartment sink at 2nd floor at ice machine room.
Lincoln Hall – Observed ice machine unclean with a black mold-like substance inside. Observed fruit fly
infestation throughout first and second-floor bars.
Sluggers Grill – Observed 60 rodent droppings in the rear storage room and 20 droppings in the side party room.
Rollapalooza – Observed excess black slime inside the ice bin where ice cubes are released dripping on the ice.
The good side about health inspections is that the restaurants that fail are often easy and quick to fix, exposing customers to little risk.
