Neshaminy’s Drama Nights have begun. The students of the Drama course have been auditioning, rehearsing, and then rehearsing some more to prepare for their first plays of the year.
The students put together the show “Competition Piece” by John S. Wells: a very corny but still laugh-inducing play for the audience. The show is about three different teachers preparing their drama students for a competition they have been entered into. Each of the teachers use different methods that the students think are crazy, but they play along anyways because they want to win.
“I really enjoyed seeing some of my classmates in a show when I had no idea that they were interested in acting – let alone that they were so good!” Senior Sarah Grudza said.
The show has some ups-and-downs but keeps the humor vivid throughout the show. The play ends with an unexpected plot twist that is worth the watch.
The shows that were schedule for Jan. 21 and Jan. 22 will be rescheduled until after the run of “Pippin!” due to the inclement weather. The Jan. 23 show is still scheduled to debut at 6:30 and 8:15 p.m. on that day.
