On Sept. 26 the Environmental Action Club met after school to tear out weeds in the memorial garden located directly outside from the main stairwell. James Murray and James Maloney led this band of environmentally conscience students, helping to battle stubborn iron root, extensive crab apples, and even a couple gnarly plants known as trees of heaven.
With order finally restored to the memorial garden, thanks can be bestowed upon the Environmental Action Club and their unquestionable bravery for conquering the wrath of the weeds. It’s only a matter of time before new weeds take their place, but the club will be out in full force when the time comes.
