Nesahminy’s Future Business Leaders of America club that any Neshaminy student can join. Neshaminy’s FBLA was organized in 1981 and continues to participate today. The FBLA is a club for students that are interested in learning more about the free enterprise system.
It is a national club in middle schools, high schools and colleges. Students compete against students from all over America, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda and the Dodd’s school in Europe in regional, state and national competition. “I’m really excited to start the club this year,” sophomore Jake Medows said.
FBLA is a very beneficial club for students, preparing them for careers in business. From FBLA students develop leadership skills, and other important abilities that will help them later in their lives.
FBLA does multiple fundraisers throughout the year. In the school store FBLA members sell a small line of alumni wear, at Gym Night members sell merchandise such as seat cushions and foam fingers, also members are selling gym bags to the graduating class with 2013 written on the bag.
Neshaminy’s FBLA meets at least once a month after school. FBLA is ran by Mrs. Dougherty, Mrs. Hall, Mr. Abramson. “The club has really helped me learn how to be a leader and meet new people.” Junior, Matt Wynne, said.
