Columbia Scholastic Press Association selects Playwickian Editor Melanie Matyi as GOLD CIRCLE AWARD WINNER
Neshaminy High School Senior Playwickian Editor Melanie Matyi received 3rd place honors in the category of Personal opinion: On-campus for her January 2012 article, “Students stand in support of teachers during strike.”
It is the first time in the history of The Playwickian a writer has received this nationally recognized individual award.
“This year, the Awards attracted 10,444 entries from newspapers and magazines produced by students at colleges, universities and secondary schools throughout the United States. Student journalists working on these publications chose from 78 newspaper categories and 34 magazine categories for individual or staff entries.”
