The Change It Up Club is a club made for all students. With activities like outdoors games, picnics, walks for autism, volunteering for shelters, and helping out organizations like NOVA (network of victim assistance), this new club lets kids meet different people and broaden their diversity.
Anyone and everyone are invited to join. This club is meant for students of all different personalities and backgrounds. “It’s for kids who want a club where they can be accepted,” Special Education teacher, Sandy Spong said.
There are games, similar to those seen at Challenge Day, that help people break out of their shell. There is no judgment and especially no pressure.
“It’s ok if you’re quiet,” Spong said, “You don’t have to talk. You can just listen.”
The Change It Up Club focuses on getting to know people and just having fun. It’s all about being you.
“School has changed so much,” Spong said, “It should be fun to be in school. We should enjoy people.”
The Change It Up Club’s first meeting is on Sept. 27 in room G215 from 2:30 p.m-4 p.m If you have any questions see Sandy Spong in IPC G102.
