From volleyball to Gym Night, Elaina Clark’s senior year has been one that she will remember for a lifetime.
Since sophomore year, Clark was a starter for the Neshaminy girl’s varsity volleyball team. Volleyball “gave [her] something to look forward to” resulting in an eventful fall when the time came.
“The coaches are amazing and the bond and memories that I’ve made with my teammates will last a lifetime,” Clark said. “The program has given me some of my best friends throughout high school, and for that, I’m really thankful.”
As a Gym Night captain since her freshman year, her experience leading the blue team stands out as an impactful memory.
“You spend so much time around your team that they become such a big part of your life,” Clark stated.“It’s going to be hard leaving the rest of the captains when this year is over because they pretty much turn into your family.”
While the end of Gym Night upsets her, the start of college is an exciting new endeavor.
Clark plans on attending The University of Pittsburgh where she plans on majoring in secondary education with an intent on teaching history. Her current and past teachers have helped her form this passion.
“I want to be one of those memorable teachers that can make such a positive impact on their students like mine did for me,” Clark said.
From socializing to sports, Clark has had such a positive impact and experience at Neshaminy, but when it comes to long-lasting memories, it’s the people who made her high school experience memorable.
