With Gym Night 2025 right around the corner, practices are in the works and so are the annual dances. This year, the theme of “Game On” was selected and the captains chose their storylines accordingly.
Students at Neshaminy High School (NHS) were given the opportunity to voice their opinions and state their predictions through an anonymous survey on who they think will win this year’s grade-level dances.
The Blue team seniors chose ‘Candy Land’ as their theme, while the Red team chose ‘Trivial Pursuit’ as theirs. Of the people who voted, 75 percent thought Blue would win their dance. If this prediction holds true, it would mark their fifth consecutive victory.
Video games inspired the NHS juniors. The Red team chose ‘Sonic’, while the Blue team decided on ‘Super Mario’. When polled, there seemed to be a slight increase in popularity for the Red team, but out of those who voted, the Blue team still had 66.7 percent of the vote.
The sophomores were almost tied, as Blue only won with 58.3 percent of the votes with ‘Clue’, compared to Red’s ‘Monopoly’ performance.
Last but not least, are the rookie freshman! With the decision to pursue ‘Just Dance’ as their theme, the red team won the popularity vote with a whopping 66.7 percent. However, it being their first year, the blue team may swoop in and win with their theme of ‘Pac-Man’.
With Gym Night slowly approaching, the excitement and the stakes are high. Will the blue team take the win two years in a row? Will Red get their revenge? Only time will tell for this year’s Gym Night.
