BUCKS COUNTY, PA – The 2024 election season is adding the finishing touches, but let’s take a trip back and see what made this very anticlimactic election so scrutinized.
As the 2024 election season ends, I can’t tell you how I feel. However, I am pretty upset about being unable to hear the hilarious digs the candidates make at each other and the opposing campaign sides. I’m excited for all the MAGA propaganda to go away, as well as people reacting as if this election is the end of time.
I’m a big fan of the election and the smile it brings to my face, but my main issue with it was the spam texts and the terrible TV ads.
Since May, I have received 75+ Trump/Kamala-related spam messages. The funny thing about all this is that the FCC just accepts that there will be robocalls and warns people to be wary of an increase because it is election season.
According to CNN, just earlier this month, Google and Meta decided to block political ads to combat misinformation. But as I already stated, it was earlier this November, to refresh your memory the election was also earlier this November, so in reality, what did this do? Nothing.
Specifically in Pennsylvania, the ad campaigns for the Senate seat between Bob Casey Jr. and Dave McCormick have been horrible. Casey only mentions that McCormick owns a house in Connecticut, and the anti-Casey propaganda says he only supports people that go by they/them. This has made me question why either of these two are the choices at hand.
In reality, it makes no sense why either campaign would run such defaming ads. It’s honestly appalling that politicians are still going along the path of running these ads or sending these texts. When all is said and done, it just aggravates the average American and by now, they should know that.
This campaign season has been a bloodbath, but it’s all over now. Finally, Americans across the country can take a breath. Or can they?
