LANGHORNE, PA – Spooky and Kooky’s 21st show was as funny and popular as last year! Neshaminy High School’s Roadies got to show off their talented acting skills in the Theodore Kloos Auditorium on Friday, Oct. 25.
The Neshaminy Roadies are a group of selected performers from Neshaminy’s drama department. The Roadies are directed and organized by Gina Chiolan, who teaches drama and co-directs the show. Every year, their Spooky and Kooky shows consist of hilarious skits and dances. They are Halloween-themed and family-friendly to represent the season and to invite all kinds of audience members.
The NHS Roadies had been preparing for their Spooky and Kooky show since the beginning of the school year. This includes writing skits and creating choreography.
“We had to figure out our corks because it’s for little kids,” Roadies’ senior Serenity Boffa shared.
Their show brought in a diverse audience, including everyone from the performers’ grandparents to little kids. Gina Chiolan recalled a touching moment from the show that highlights how the Roadies’ larger audience influenced more positivity.
“Even some of the older kids got recognized by the younger kids when they were at the grocery store,” Chiolan stated.
Not only were young audiences inspired by the show, Bridget Dykty, another Roadie Senior, revealed that her favorite moment of the show was that “the audience cheered so loud and had so much energy. It was really fun!”
