“A Toy for Empathy”

Many may have never heard of Kevin Hernandez – it makes sense, since he isn’t a Neshaminy student. Despite this, Kevin has still managed to reach the minds and hearts of over 500 Neshaminy students and staff members with his story.
He battled with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer prevalent in teenagers his age.
One of his final goals and wishes was to raise enough money for a Toy Drive he started with his club at Swenson Arts & Tech High School, titled “A Toy For Empathy.” All donations go directly to CHOP and their childlife program, who use that money to buy and distribute toys to children with cancer.
