The annual Powder Puff football game was held on Nov 20 at Neshaminy. The Powder Puff game is a charity sponsored event where the girls of the senior class compete in a game of football coached by a two senior boys. The teams are divided into red and blue, separated by last name.

The advisors for the game are Ashley Belmonte, and Catelin Koczynski a Neshaminy alumni who participated in Powder Puff her senior year. This is both of their second year advising.

“I definitely think the Powder Puff game brings the entire school together.” Said advisor Koczynski
This year the game was played for the Detective Christopher Jones Foundation, and over 1,000 dollars was raised. The red team won this year, 14-0. The red team was coached by seniors Alex McKenzie and Dom LaPalombara .

“It was really satisfying to see our girls win after all our hard work, I was proud of them,” said senior and coach, McKenzie.

The blue team was coached by Jake Kitchenman and Madeh Cooper. “Go HAM or go home” said Cooper on his strategy for this year’s game.

Any senior girl can participate in Powder Puff and Neshaminy encourages the partition. It’s a fun event that’s known for bringing the school members together, whether they’re playing, coaching, or just coming to show their support, and it’s for a good cause!
