Neshaminy high school hosted the second-annual college fair on Oct. 23, organized by the National Honor Society. Over 40 colleges sent representatives to Gym 1 to educate students on different programs available to them if they choose a higher education.
Schools as far as University of Miami and as close Temple sent representatives to the college fair.
It went a lot smoother than our first college fair,” Senior and NHS member, Sarah Dawson, said.
Students prepared for this night for many weeks, each contacting different colleges to acquire representatives to attend.
This college fair is not the only way Neshaminy is trying to prepare students who want to earn a degree after high school. On Oct. 16, the guidance department hosted a presentation on applying for financial aid programs, such as FAFSA.
About 100 students and their families come out to the fair. This big turnout seemed to have been for good use, as many people were found getting lots of paperwork and brochures for different institutions. “One kid even asked me for a bag for all of the brochures,” Dawson said.
